Yep! this is the last day of the year 2007~
i think we need one last post of the year:D
Order is need for the proper functioning of life. Indeed order is necessary for us to enjoy life.
I know, the world is not exactly in much of an order now, but God is.
He's the god of Order:)
In Genesis 1:2, the earth was formless and empty - the word "formless" means chaos, confusion and desolation.
God, the God of Order turned chaos into order for us. In Genesis 1:2-19, we see God creating light, sky, water, land, sun, moon and stars -
Then God said, "Let there be light"....
The whole universe was wonderfully ordered so that life on earth could begin. Order leads to Life that is abundant, productive and good.
To have the abundant Life that Jesus promised, allow God to order your priorities. Rearrange your priorities so that God is first in everything that you do. As God started with Light in His order of creation, begin each new day with Jesus who is the Light of the World (John 9:5).
To live the productive Life that Jesus promised, let God order your relationships. Refocus your relationships so that Jesus will always be the centre. Jesus promised that you would be more productive when you remain in Him and He in you (John 15:5).
To enjoy a good life, listen to God's orders as promised in Proverbs 4:10,
"My child, listen to me and do as I say and you'll have a long, good life."
In the coming 2008, allow God to bring order into your life, family, work so that you can enjoy an abundant, productive and good life:)

Hey guys. I suscribe to maxlucado.com and they bombard me with weekly emails. I really look forward to opening up a new email from Uncle Max every time I check my mail. I don’t know him personally but if you don’t know him yet, he’s a really famous Christian book author, and he has written many best-sellers. But I’ve been reading quite a bit of what Uncle Max has written and I feel as though I almost know him, okay maybe not that well.

Uncle Max
Recently Uncle Max sent me this: Suppose you could give a gift to Christ, what would it be? How could you possibly select a gift for the One who not only has everything, but who made everything? The Wise Men did. They can be an example to us. In addition to the gold, frankincense, and myrrh, they gave the Savior some gifts we can give him today: their hope, their time, and their worship. The wandering wise men gave Jesus their hope. When everyone else saw a night sky, this small band of men saw the light. The sight of the star sparked a desire in their hearts that send them packing. They went, seeking Jesus. When night comes to your world, what do you see? The darkness or the stars? Hopelessness or hopefulness? Sometimes, just as he did so long ago, God uses the darkness to reveal his stars—“The light shines in the darkness” (John 1:5). Give God your hope for Christmas. While you’re giving, give God your time. The wise men did. Before they gave God their presents, they gave their presence. It’s likely that these men traveled as long as two years before locating the prince of heaven. Before that one incredible moment when they knelt before Jesus, the wise men spent many moments, months, perhaps years searching, in anticipation of that meeting. Just as the wise men devoted themselves to seeking the Savior, so can you: “You will seek him and find him when you seek him with all your heart” (Duet. 4:29). And when they did find him, the wise men gave Jesus another gift: their worship. Men of wealth, influence, and intellect: what did they do when they saw Jesus? “…they fell down and worshiped him” (Matt. 2:11)Worship. It’s a gift that extends to the giver as well. Through worship, we come to see God more clearly. God invites us, through worship, to see his face so he can change ours. In worship, we simply stand before God with a prepared and willing heart and let God do his work. And he does. He wipes away the tears. He mops away the perspiration. He softens our furrowed brows. He touches our cheeks. He changes our faces as we worship. The wise men sought thechild of God, just as God seeks his children. “The Father is actively seeking such people to worship him” (John 4:23). The gifts of hope, time, and worship. Three gifts the wise still give.
There. There. Something to think about: what would you give Christ? You may think He already has everything, what’s there to give. Let me tell you what I’m giving Christ. I’m definitely giving Him what the wise men gave Him. Hope, time and worship. But in addition to that I’m giving Him 2 more things on my list: My commitment and a letter from me. I’m giving God my commitment because I’m going to get baptized this Christmas. And the day I told God that I’m going to get baptized, I told him: this is what I’m going to live for, this is what I’m going to stand for, this is going to be what drives me. And I believe that this is the best present that I can give to God this year, at least. You know there’s so many things for me to be thankful for this year. Too many. When I think about it, I feel it’s just so amazing to have God be so real in my life. And the letter that I’m going to write to God will be a list of 100 things I’m thankful for that He has done this year. And guess what, God has most probably already known what I was going to give. In fact, He has already seen it. But it’s okay. I know God feels that the anticipation of getting the present is even better than the present itself. P.S. Tell me what YOU got for God this Christmas. Write it on the tag board. I’m sure we all want to know. Its okay because God won’t see it, He’ll keep His eyes closed, I promise. And we’ll keep the secret for you. Shhh. Love, Kim(mie)

hey guys, this was from an email, you might have read it before, but i really liked it alot, it was really touching:)
She jumped up as soon as she saw the surgeon come out of the operating room. She said: 'How is my little boy ? Is he going to be all right ?When can I see him ?'
The surgeon said, 'I'm sorry. We did all we could, but your boy didn't make it.'
Sally said, 'Why do little children get cancer ? Doesn't God care any more ? Where were you, God, when my son needed you ?'
The surgeon asked, 'Would you like some time alone with your son ? One ofthe nurses will be out in a few minutes, before he's transported to the university.'
Sally asked the nurse to stay with her while she said good bye to son. She ran her fingers lovingly through hi s thick red curly hair. 'Would you like a lock of his hair ?' the nurse asked.
Sally nodded yes. The nurse cut a lock of the boy's hair, put it in a plastic bag and handed it to Sally.
The mother said, 'It was Jimmy's idea to donate his body to the University for Study. He said it might help somebody else. 'I said no at first, but Jimmy said, 'Mom, I won't be using it after I die. Maybe it will help some other little boy spend one more day with his Mom.' She went on,'My Jimmy had a heart of gold. Always thinking of someone else. Always wanting to help others if he could.'
Sally walked out of Children's Mercy Hospital for the last time, after spending most of the last six months there. She put the bag with Jimmy's belongings on the seat beside her in the car.
The drive home was difficult. It was even harder to enter the empty house. She carried Jimmy's belongings, and the plastic bag with the lock of his hair to her son's room.
She started placing the model cars and other personal things back in his room exactly where he had alwayskept them. She laid down across his bed and, hugging his pillow, cried herself to sleep.
It was around midnight when Sally awoke. Laying beside her on the bed was a folded letter. The letter said :
'
Dear Mom, I know you're going to miss me; but don't think that I will ever forget you, or stop loving you, just 'cause I'm not around to say 'I Love You'.
I will always love you, Mom, even more with each day. Someday we will see each other again. Until then, if you want to adopt a little boy so you won't be so lonely, that's okay with me. He can have my room and old stuff to play with. But, if you decide to get a girl instead, she probably wouldn't like the same things us boys do. You'll have to buy her dolls and stuff girls like, you know. Don't be sad thinking about me. This really is a neat place.
Grandma and Grandpa met me as soon as I got here and showed me around some, but it will take a long time to see everything. The angels are so cool. I love to watch them fly. And,you know what? Jesus doesn't look like any of his pictures. Yet, when I saw Him, I knew it was Him. Jesus himself took me to see GOD ! And guess what, Mom ?
I got to sit on God's knee and talk to Him, like I was somebody important. That's when I told Him that I wanted to write you a letter, to tell you good bye and everything. But I already knew that wasn't allowed. Well, you know what Mom ?
God handed me some paper and His own personal pen to write you this letter. I think Gabriel is the name of the angel who is going to drop this letter off to you. God said for me to give you the answer to one of the questions you asked Him 'Where was He when I needed him ?'
God said He was in the same place with me, as when His son Jesus was on the cross. He was right there, as He always is with all His children. Oh, by the way,Mom, no one else can see what I've written except you. To everyone else this is just a blank piece of paper.
Isn't that cool ? I have to give God His pen back now. He needs it to write some more names in the Book of Life. Tonight I get to sit at the table with Jesus for supper. I'm sure the food will be great.Oh, I almost forgot to tell you.I don't hurt anymore. The cancer is all gone. I'm glad because I couldn't stand that pain anymore and God couldn't stand to see me hurt so much, either. That's when He sent The Angel of Mercy to come get me.The Angel said I was a Special Delivery ! How about that ?Signed with Love from God, Jesus & Me.

hey guys! i just got back from my church camp. ROOTED. i learnt a lot. so i'll just post a little of it each time.
this was my camp verse:
"So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live in Him, rooted and built up in Him, strengthened in the faith just as you were taught, overflowing with thankfulness" Colossians 2:6-7
When we
receive Christ Jesus as Lord, we believe in Him, the this belief comes from FAITH. that's what christian life is all about.
Faith. And when we start believing, dont stop.
continue growing.
rooted and built up in Him. that's how we live by faith. Think yourself as a tree. As you grow taller, you need firmer foundation dont you? yes you do. using my literary skills, there's a juxtaposition here. Roots grow downwards, at the same time you being built UP. =D
Roots grow underground. We cant see them but it's evident on their leaves. Roots at dont get enough water and mineral ions from the soil will soon wither and die. their leaves will turn brown and fall off. they wont produce fruits. but if they do, they will have healthy green leaveS and yummy juicy fleshy fruits. Similarly, many things that we do that others dont really see are actually very impt to our christian life. Such as prayer, QT, and maybe tithing which is a test of our faith. It you dont take care of our roots, we'll drift away spiritually and morally. even if we still look good on the outside, we'll soon collapse ):
so come on my fellows, lets get ROOTED in God right now. Let these roots hold us firm in Him despite whatever lifen throws at us. Draw
strength and love and all the nutrients we need from Him. Then
thank Him for providing(:
i know my post is kinda messy but i hope you get it (:

Hi guys! its me again!! haha, got another note to share with you all..
Have you ever felt like quitting?
Have you ever felt disappointed and disillusioned?
Disappointed with others, with yourself and even with God?
In John 21, we see Peter as a disappointed man:
+disappointed with himself that he would be the first to deny Christ;
+disappointed that his dream of ruling with Christ was crashed;
+disappointed even with God!
Peter was so disappointed he decided to return to fishing - not men, but fishes
-
abandoning God's big dream for his own small dreams. In John 21, we see that the disciples fished all night but caught nothing.
In the morning, they saw a man standing on the shores. This man told them to throw their net down on the right side of the boat. When they did, they caught so many fishes that they could not haul in the net. At that, they realised the man on the beach was Jesus!
Why did this cause them to recognise Jesus?
Remember a similar incident about 3 years ago when they fished all night but caught nothing(Luke 5:4-11)? It was then that Jesus called them to be "
fishers of men".
This miracle in John 21 reminded Peter that
Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever. He is still the God of miracles!
He is still the God who calls us - to be fishers of men!
He is still the God who gives us bg dreams!
He is still the God who fulfills those dreams!
So come to God today...
+ Let Him
resurrect any dreams that have died+ Let Him
restore your sense of calling and confidence - knowing that God has made you the head and not the tail!
Let us
abandon our small dreams and pursue God's big dreams for us!

While it's true that we can never pre-empt what life dishes out for us, one thing we can do is to choose to make the days that God has given us count.
Psalm 90:12 tells us, "
Teach us to number our days aright, that we may gain a heart of wisdom."
King David put it this way: "
show me, Lord, my life's end and the number of my days; let me know how fleeting my life is." (Psalm 39:4)
The Psalmist's appeal to God reminds us that our lives as Christians are secure in the Almighty's hand. Like him, let's implore god for wisdom.
Now, you ask, what IS wisdom? it is not to waste the days given to us - but to make every day count by living it to the fullest. Even in the mundane of life's schedules, we can choose our attitude - to do each task with a spirit of excellence:)
+ To spend time with people we always wanted to spend time with, but never got around to make that appointment.
+ To buy that gift for someone God has put in your heart to bless.
+ To obey God's prompting to pray.
Life is brief! So let's live each day wisely - as unto God and not unto man. Resolve to hear from God and seek His face each and every day.
So don't take the day taht God has given to you for granted. Make this day count and let it unlock the possibilities that God has for your life!

HI!! i just thought i would post something i find really nice for you guys~
some of you might probably read this somewhere but anyways its one of my favorite(:
In the book, "The Velveteen Rabbit", a rather revealing dialogue takes place between a new toy rabbit and an old skin horse.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The rabbit asks the horse:
"what is REAL? Does it mean having things that buzz inside you and a stick-out handle?"
"Real isn't how you're made," said the Skin Horse. " It's a thing that happens to you. When a child really loves you for a long, long time, not just to play with, but REALLY loves you. then you become real."
"Does it hurt?" asked the Rabbit.
"Sometimes," said the Skin Horse, for he was always truthful.
"Does it happen all at once, like being wound up," he asked, 'or bit by bit?"
"It doesn't happen all at once," said the Skin Horse. " You become. it takes a long time. thats why it doesn't often happen to those who break easily, or have sharp edges, or have to be carefully kept. Generally, by the time you're real, most of your hair has been loved off, your eyes drop out and you get loose in the joints and very shabby. But these things don't matter at all because once you are real you can't be ugly, except to people who don't understand."
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
In a world of high expectations - be it at home, at work and even with friends - its hard to be real, isn't it? but too much hiding behind different masks may cause us to lose our identity - over time, we forget, and lose touch of who we really are.
Let's take some time to build, ask God for covenant relationships where we can be REAL and where we are willing to be corrected - in becoming(not losing) the person God intends us to be.
2 corinthians 3:16-18 states:
But whenever someone turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away. For the Lord is the Spirit, and wherever the spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. So all of us who have had that veil removed can see and reflect the glory of the Lord. And the Lord, who is the spirit, makes us more and more like him as we are changed into his glorious image.
